THE DUFF
     If you like teen comedy film´s, than The Duff is the film you must watch. Mae Whitman stars in this film and Ari Sandel directs.
     Mae  plays the leading role as Bianca, a girl ejoying her senior year of high school, with her two best friends Jess and Casey (Skyler Samuels and Bianca A. Santos). Her best friends are very popular, more than her. She has a neighbor, who´s her childhood friend, Wesley, portrayed by Robbie Amell, who is a star on the school´s football team. Bianca has a crush on Toby-guitar player, so she goes to Madison -mean girl- party, hoping to talk to him. At the party, Wesley tells her, that she is a DUFF of her friend group, the Designated Ugly Fat Friend. He also tell´s her, that the people exploit the Duff to get to the popular people. After that, Bianca was insulted and angry, but than she realizes Wesley is right. People are only interested in her as a way to get to the Jess and Casey. She takes her anger out on Jess and Casey and stop´s comunicating with them. Bianca later hears Wesley´s science teacher, that if he falls the test, he will be off the football team and his schplarship. Bianca make a deal with Wesley, she´ll help him to past the test, if he tells her how to stop being Duff. They have fun, while Bianca´s makeover. Madison´s friend records Bianca playing around and pretending to be a Toby. They create video and post it on school timeline, to make fun of Bianca. Wesley tells her not to let the video destroy her. She goes to Toby and asks him to go out with her and he say yes. Wesley is fustrated by his parents arguing, so Bianca takes him to her favourite spot-˝think rock˝. They kiss there, but they joke about it. At Bianca´s date, she finds out, that Toby is ˝Duffing˝ her, to get to Jess and Casey. She leavs in tears seeking for Wesley to talk with him. She finds him at the thinking rock kissing Madison. Angry Bianca go back home and go back with her best frinds. Jess, Casey an Bianca´s mum convince Bianca to go to the homecoming dance with them. They create a dress for Bianca, from her old clothes. At the dance, Bianca tells Madison in face, that we are all someone´s DUFF. Madison is homecoming queen and Wesley is homecoming king. But, is he going to take a crown?
     Film has a lot of ´action´ in it and has some breathtaking scenes. The only thing I don´t like is, that is maybe too short for a teen comedy film and, that Wesley betrayed Bianca, taking Madison to Bianca´s favourite spot.
     This film isn´t going to appeal to everyone. I recommended it to teens and comedy-lovers.
